StorageCraft Released ShadowControl V3.6 Software

StorageCraft Technology Corp. announced ShadowControl v3.6, which allows IT professionals to more efficiently monitor and manage backup jobs.

ShadowControl is a centralized management console for IT environments protected by the ShadowProtect or ShadowProtect SPX backup and disaster recovery software.

“The addition of the new features in ShadowControl v3.6 is the direct result of feedback from our partners,” said Matt Urmston, chief evangelist and director, product management, StorageCraft. “This is the latest step in our continued development efforts to make our partners’ job of protecting their clients’ data, systems, and businesses as easy as possible.”

ShadowProtect v3.6 new features:

• Endpoint list view improvements – New and updated columns, such as the installed products column, make it easier to get a detailed view of subscribed endpoints and backup jobs. Plus, users can create a custom column that displays the data point of your choosing.

• Bulk actions – Users can multi-select endpoints to unsubscribe endpoints, activate endpoints, or pause/resume a backup job schedule on multiple endpoints simultaneously from the Endpoint List View.

• License pool management enhancements – The ability to assign licenses in the License Pool to a specific organization to restrict them for use only by endpoints in that organization. In addition, remove one or more licenses from the License Pool.

• Socket license support – Push-install or manually activate per-socket perpetual licenses for ShadowProtect SPX.

• Appliance proxy support – Configure proxy settings when installing the ShadowControl appliance.

• Scalability – ShadowControl supports up to 40% more endpoints per appliance without changing processor/memory resources.

Company’s backup and disaster recovery solutions include the ShadowProtect software line for Windows and Linux systems in physical and virtual environments. ShadowProtect is available in multiple versions so IT professionals can use the version that meets their needs, such as best-in-class backup, disaster recovery, system migration and data protection for servers, desktops and laptops.
