Thanks to this integration and unified infrastructure, EonStor GS delivers cost-effective flexibility for both structured and unstructured data, as well as unlimited scalability through cloud solutions.
As a unified storage system, EonStor GS allows organizations to consolidate their storage requirements for operational databases (structured data) along with unstructured data onto a common platform with support for fully-optimized file-based, block-based and object-based storage. This not only simplifies service deployment and management of different types of data, but also lowers costs by delivering the benefits of performance-optimized SAN, NAS and object storage together in a single subsystem.
With its integrated Intelligent Cloud Gateway Engine, EonStor GS can be configured as cache of cloud storage to hold active data locally and move inactive data to the cloud to make the most of the cloud’s flexibility, unlimited scalability and guaranteed HA. Currently supported are cloud service providers such as Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, Google Clouds and Alibaba AliCloud.
With regards to deployment, EonStor GS supports a variety of configurations of SSD and hybrid storage and achieves levels of performance that allow the promise of such configurations to be realized, with block-level IO/s, block-level sustained throughput, and file-level sustained throughput surpassing 740,000 IO/s, 11GB/s and 3,000MB/s respectively. Moreover, it provides data service functions such as Automatic Storage Tiering, SSD cache, local replication, remote replication, file-level rsync and Intelligent Drive Recovery (IDR).
To quote Michael Schnapp, co-founder and CTO, Infortrend, “As cloud becomes an integral part of businesses’ storage strategies, it was only fitting for us to provide our customers with a storage system that truly satisfies their needs, no matter how complex or diverse. We believe we have achieved that with EonStor GS family.”
EonStor GS 3000 series, the first series of EonStor GS, is available.
