For Qnap and Synology
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 18, 2016 at 2:54 pmCloudBerry Lab, Inc., in cloud-based backup and file management services to SMBs, has expanded capabilities as part of their QNAP Systems Inc. and Synology, Inc. support.
Customers using CloudBerry Backup for QNAP or CloudBerry Backup for Synology will have access to a broader range of cloud storage options (including Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Azure and OpenStack Swift) as well as benefit from faster data transfer.
CloudBerry Lab has also announced that their MSP partners will have the opportunity to sell CloudBerry Backup for QNAP and CloudBerry Backup for Synology.
NAS, refers to a storage device connected to a network that allows storage and retrieval of data from a centralized location for authorized network users and heterogeneous clients. NAS devices are a good option for SMBs because they are simple to operate and offer lower costs compared to other storage options. NAS can also be used for backup, but increasingly NAS users are looking to cloud backup options in order to realize the growing benefits of this type of solution, including scalability, reliability and off-site data protection.
CloudBerry Backup enables SMBs to backup critical files and folders to the cloud storage vendor of their choice. Previously, CloudBerry supported QNAP and Synology backup to Amazon S3. The list has grown to include many more cloud storage providers. Users can schedule incremental backups from their QNAP and Synology devices to their provider of choice.
“In addition to the new QNAP and Synology support capabilities, we are excited about the revenue opportunities for our MSP partners,” says Alexey Serkov, CTO, CloudBerry Lab. “Combining the speed and convenience of NAS with the power of cloud backup is a high-value proposition that will help our partners drive revenues.“
CloudBerry Lab is offering a free license of CloudBerry Backup for QNAP and CloudBerry Backup for Synology as well, through April.
