ITsavvy Unveils savvyBackup, Offsite-Onsite DR Backup Solutions

In conjunction with Evault

Itsavvy (B2B Industries LLC) is developing, implementing, and managing offsite-onsite backup solutions through its trademarked savvyBackup services.

Together with storage leader EVault, Inc, it is able to implement and support onsite, offsite (including cloud-based), and hybrid backup and recovery services for companies ranging from the largest, most heavily regulated to the mid-sized and smaller.

The solution encompasses backup, data recovery, DR, regulatory compliance, and cloud storage/online backup.

President and CEO Mike Theriault explained, “Onsite gives you a quicker recovery time, but it doesn’t protect the data in the case of a disaster-such as a fire or flood. Offsite is generally-although not always-slower, but it provides protection against onsite disasters. The safest solution will always be a combination of both onsite and offsite backup.

One of the primary issues with cloud storage is that it tends to be file-based, meaning that the recovery process is much more cumbersome and, in the event of a true disaster, the entire server would have to be rebuilt. This offsite backup solution is image-based-which makes recovery process nearly seamless.

ITsavvy DR engineer Greg Schnabel added: “It also works on a block-level, so that once all of the existing data is backed up, only the changes are backed up. This streamlines the process.

It facilitates backups, secures files and applications, and restores data around the clock- individual files can often be recovered withins. In addition to EVault, backup partners include EMC and Axcient. These collaborations allow the service to offer both custom and stock backup solutions that streamline data protection.

ITsavvy is a player in tailored end-to-end IT product and service solutions. It built its reputation as a VAR with product availability, design and implementation, client support and delivery speed through 46 distribution centers across the U.S. It also has data center locations in New Jersey, Illinois and New York. The company’s website provides hundreds of  IT decision-making resources, including an e-commerce site with real-time pricing and availability.
