IBM to Provide De-Dupe on FlashSystem

In a statement of direction, IBM Corp. said it continues to improve, innovate, and integrate data reduction technologies for the FlashSystem offering.

The company intends to expand its FlashSystem data reduction technologies, to not only include real-time compression, but to also provide data deduplication technology to further increase usable capacity and storage efficiency for client workloads such as VDI.
