CloudBacko V1.5 Includes OneDrive Support

CloudBacko Corp announced its version 1.5, featuring the ability to combine unlimited free cloud storage into one for backup purpose.

It also added the support of OneDrive as the backup destination. Users can combine all their free Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox accounts together. Multiple accounts of the same cloud storage providers is also supported. Thus, users can essentially get unlimited cloud backup storage for free.

Applicable to all 3 editions of CloudBacko
The storage combination feature is available for all the three editions of CloudBacko. Thus, businesses can use CloudBacko Pro to backup their business servers, VMs to the cloud with free storage cost. On the other hand, workstation users can use CloudBacko Lite and home users can use CloudBacko Free to backup their desktops and laptops. Since both Google Drive and OneDrive now offer 15GB free storage, users can combine ten of these free storage accounts to get over 150GB of free cloud backup space.

Offers filenames and content encryption
What makes people skeptical about cloud backup is the security issue, especially after the case of Edward Snowden. One wouldn’t know when the NSA is going to read his/her private data stored on the public cloud storage accounts. The company understands such concern and offers users with the filenames encrytpion on top of the encrypted contents. All the data and file/folder names are encrypted with 256-bit randomized key on the local computer before sending the data to the cloud. That means the backed up data are impossible to be hacked, not even by supercomputer. Thus, no one, not even NSA, is able to know what you have backed up.

VMware ESXi Free Version module free of charge
Since this release, the business decided to offer the add-on backup module for VMware ESXi free version free of charge. That means with $39, one can use CloudBacko Pro to backup unlimited guest VMs in VMware ESXi free version host, using non-VDDK backup mode. CloudBacko Pro is able to perform VM level backup for VMware ESXi free version.
