Open-E Introduces Support Products From October 1, 2013

For upgrades, renewals and reinstatements

Open-E, Inc., a developer of storage software, adds new support products to its portfolio.

Starting October 1st, 2013, the company will offer support upgrades, renewals and reinstatements – making support maintenance even more flexible for their customers.

Open-E provides support for its storage software Open-E DSS V7 on different levels. For the Basic, Standard, Premium and 24/7 support licenses the company introduces different possibilities of maintaining support for storage systems running on Open-E software. Support upgrades escalate the level of active support at a 50% discount compared to the new reinstatements, and are recommended to be purchased with a new product license. Support renewals extend the duration of support at a 50% discount compared to reinstatements, and are also available for active support licenses only. Support reinstatements start a new support after existing support for a product expired. All support products are available for terms of 1 or 3 years.

Support is a part of this and can now be easily maintained, ensuring additional security of storage systems and the user’s peace of mind“, said Krzysztof Franek, CEO and president, Open-E.

Along with the new support products, prices will increase on October 1st, 2013. Customers who are already using Open-E DSS V7 or V6 and have expired support licenses, want to upgrade, or think about purchasing new support have the opportunity to save money until the end of September.
