Michael Hon-Mong MD Central and Eastern Europe, Unitrends

Unitrends, Inc. has appointed Michael Hon-Mong as MD for Central and Eastern Europe.

From 1 July 2013 he is responsible for the launch of the Munich office, the development of the partner program and strategic business development.

Before his appointment, he worked at Acronis for seven years, first as senior director of sales, EMEA and later as MD Central and Eastern Europe.

 Hon-Mong has been active in the distribution of IT products since 1994. Prior to joining Unitrends Michael spent three years as MD responsible for Central and Eastern Europe, one of the most active markets for Acronis. Before this he was responsible for the strategic account planning and business development of Acronis as senior director of sales, EMEA. During this time he put through numerous commercial and strategic measures, resulting in a double-digit revenue growth. He was responsible for the development and success of the organisation, as well as for the introduction of today’s established brand. In other management positions at Steganos and PowerQuest, he implemented phases of growth in the region and reached achievements and qualifications in wholesale banking.
