Marlene Williamson CMO, BigMachines

Previously VP global marketing at HGST

BigMachines, Inc., in product configuration, pricing and quoting, proposal generation and B2B ecommerce, has appointed Marlene Williamson as CMO, a critical role on the company’s leadership team as it continues its expansion.

williamson_bigmachines Williamson is responsible for leading BigMachines’ worldwide marketing efforts and charged with building upon the company’s market position as the choice for enterprise and growing, mid-sized companies wanting to maximize their revenue opportunity.

"Marlene’s extensive experience leading marketing for innovative and world-renowned technology brands has established her as a well-respected voice among a remarkable set of peers," said David Bonnette, CEO, BigMachines. Previously, Marlene was VP of global marketing at Hitachi Global Storage Technologies. he has been a VP marketing at Ericsson, Symantec, Polycom, IBM, Acer and Apple.

Marlene was named Marketer of the Year by the American Marketing Association, Woman of Influence by the San Jose Business Journal, Outstanding Female Executive in Silicon Valley by the YWCA and is on the board of directors for the Association for Corporate Growth and The CMO Council. She was also named Partner of the Year by Yahoo and Innovator of the Year by Google. She is a founding member of the Silicon Valley Professional Area Networking Group for Women. She is a frequent speaker on high tech marketing at international marketing and business strategy events.

She has an MBA in Marketing from DePaul University and a BS in Journalism from Ohio University. Sge lives in the San Francisco bay area with her husband and two daughters.
