As a contracting organization with sensitive payroll and general
ledger information, Hensel Phelps could not afford to lose any of the data on their
POWER7 server. They looked to the IBM System i experts at United Computer
Group, in hopes of protecting mission-critical DB2 and IFS files.
Addressing their concerns, UCG employed the VAULT400 Cloud Backup with nightly
save-sets to two separate data centers in Cleveland and Atlanta. Instead of the
standard 24 save-set option (5 days, 4 weeks, 12 months, and 3 annuals), Hensel
Phelps opted for a more streamlined 17 save-set approach (14 days and 3 years)
and learned that the save-sets (the frequency of
incremental backups) are customizable.
Hensel Phelps is also utilizing the new VAULT400 Reports, a web-enabled
interface for centralized reporting, which contains all the details of a
client’s cloud protected data. This reporting tool is available via a
web portal 365/7/24 and is also emailed automatically each quarter at no
additional charge to UCG VAULT400 subscribers.
Ben Pile, a Hensel Phelps IT manger, commented that he is "very
pleased with the ease of use" when accessing his reports.
With VAULT400 cloud Backup, Hensel Phelps can rely on UCG to ensure offsite
protection and encrypted nightly backups, in addition to reporting
tools to chart their data growth, today and as their business grows.
