StorMagic Completes Cisco Interoperability Verification Testing

For virtual storage appliance SvSAN

StorMagic, Inc. announced that its
virtual storage appliance (VSA) solution, SvSAN, has
completed interoperability verification testing with Cisco UCS
E-Series Servers
.

Interoperability testing is designed to
simulate typical customer configurations, and does not replace the need for
on-site testing in conjunction with actual implementation.

UCS E-Series servers and SvSAN are developed in line with the
needs of the lean branch office to simplify the distributed IT infrastructure
and ensure availability to on-site mission-critical applications. As a combined
solution, implementing HA across your distributed branch office network is
achievable with less capital and operational expense as there is a
substantially lower hardware requirement than traditional SAN and VSA
solutions.

"SvSAN enables organizations to
achieve affordable HA in smaller and distributed IT environments where revenue,
risk or liability is high,
" says Hans O’Sullivan, CEO, StorMagic.
"We work closely with Cisco to
ensure that SvSAN meets performance expectations of Cisco UCS E-Series
customers.
"

The Cisco Developer Network unites Cisco with third-party developers of
hardware and software to deliver tested interoperable solutions to joint
customers, harnessing the power and intelligence of the network. As a registered developer, StorMagic offers a complementary product offering and has
started to collaborate with Cisco to meet the needs of joint customers.

With offerings such as SvSAN, customers can more quickly deploy a range
of Cisco compatible business applications, devices, or services that can
enhance the capabilities, performance, and management of the Cisco network.
