One of the fastest growing private companies in the Silicon Valley, Box
provides a way for businesses to securely share, manage and access
information in the cloud. Since 2005, Box has helped more than 15 million
people at more than 150,000 businesses, including 97% of the Fortune 500, to
manage and share their content from anywhere on any device.
SDL is supporting Box to scale geographically by localizing its content,
including marketing and support materials, to different target audiences across
multiple channels, from web and mobile applications, into 16 languages.
Box also utilizes SDL’s Media Services to extend its audio-visual assets across
these languages and cultures. SDL’s recording studios in over 30 countries
allow Box to deliver a unified multimedia experience while collaborating across
multiple geographies. This ensures Box speaks with one voice globally,
maximizing its ROI in multimedia production.
SDL was selected due to its dedicated in-house, in-country localization model.
One of SDL’s main differentiators is its employment of both in-house
translators and in-house audio and video experts. For Box, this demonstrates
a firm commitment to guaranteeing the highest language quality and
understanding of cultural nuances.
"We use Box ourselves to access,
manage and share marketing and sales documents with customers using mobile
devices," said Tatiana Harrison, SDL Global Solutions US, VP sales and operations. "We feel like it’s
a natural fit for us to partner together to promote collaboration and mobility
in the cloud and we’re proud that SDL will enable users around the world to
share content in their native language."
