United
Bankers’ Bank (United Bankers’
Bancorporation, Inc) has introduced a service to their
customers for consolidating electronic payment data using Active
Archive, the payments archive module of Aptys
Solutions‘ PayLOGICS
system.
The system is an end-to-end,
straight-through payment processing solution for all payment types in
a unified payments platform. Community bank customers will be able to
archive all payment data in UBB’s private cloud storage and access
the data online. Users will also be able to run queries, reports, and
download information using a browser-based user interface.
Active Archive allows UBB to deliver a
private cloud storage solution offering an archive for all captured
payment data. Customers can utilize this tool for long-term storage
with access to data, and will be the foundation for providing future
tools such as monitoring risk and analyzing payment trends. The
system gives UBB a scalable solution with storage, providing UBB and
customers with access to deposited check images, cash letter
information, in-clearing items, originated and received ACH
transactions, wire payments, DDA information, and system and
third-party reports.
Through Active Archive, UBB provides
tools that have for a long time been manual processes for community
bankers. Without having to purchase additional systems, customers can
derive returns and adjustments electronically with the click of a
mouse from any item in the archive. The design of the system routes
the transaction to its final destination.
According to Mary Sherman, VP and
UNETexchange manager, UBB, "The ability to search and query
across multiple transaction types married with the ability to act on
the data truly gives UBB and our respondent banks an unparalleled
competitive advantage, which is one reason why our customers have
been so receptive to this new service."
Early on in the project, the company
identified a specific need for customers to have access to DDA
information from their core system. Working together with Aptys,
Active Archive was enhanced to pull in the information and make it
available online to users. Customers can query on posted debits and
credits from their DDA accounts.
"We rolled out the Active
Archive earlier this year and already have strong interest from
customers," commented Sherman. "Customers no
longer have to worry about downloading and storing data and making
sure the data gets replicated to their DR site. UBB makes it easy by
allowing them to leverage the expertise of our staff through our
UNETexchange solution."
Data management isn’t just about having
enough storage capacity anymore. Accessing and using data in a
flexible infrastructure to better manage risk, reduce fraud, ensure
regulatory compliance, and analyze data trends are all priorities for
FIs today. Active Archive simplifies these tasks by consolidating
data and making it available online.
"We are continually expanding
our product functionality so that our customers can be better
positioned for the future," said Sean Pennock, president,
Aptys Solutions. "Providing customers like UBB with a
holistic view of data across all payment channels allows banks to
provide a seamless customer experience with more meaningful
interactions-a key component to driving more profitable customer
relationships in this hyper-competitive industry."
