Eurostor ES-8700 Storage Servers With Haswell Processor

Gmbh are based upon Open-E
DSS V7 software and they provide NAS and iSCSI volumes,
optionally FC volumes, online.

As of now the servers will use the
latest Intel technology with the codename Haswell, currently as a
single processor system with E3 Quad Xeon processors, and soon as a
dual processor solution. This technology is characterized by high
processor performance with low power consumption at the same time.
The mainboards are equipped with USB 3.0 interface.

Compared to the former Ivy E3
technology, these server mainboards are offered with up to 3 PCI
slots, making it possible to offer storage clusters with hardware
RAID controllers and 10GbE or 40GbE interface cards.

Thus, together with the Open-E DSS V7
software, EUROstor also offers iSCSI active/active clusters,
including replication via 40Gbit lines with automatic failover and
the possibility to shut down one of the nodes for maintenance
purposes without interrupting availability.

The total price for an ES-8700 system
with Open-E DSS V7 and Intel E3 processor on the basis of Haswell
technology, for example in a 4 U 24 slot-housing, partially
equipped with 8 x 4TB nearline HDDs and four 1GbE ports amounts to 6,652.10€ including VAT
(€5,590 without VAT).
