Ted Stinson VP Sales, Jeff Aaron VP Marketing, PernixData

Coming from Quantum and Silver Peak, respectively

PernixData, Inc. announced two new additions to its executive team.

The company appointed Ted Stinson as VP sales and Jeff Aaron as VP marketing, two veterans of the storage and acceleration spaces respectively with experience taking start-up companies to leadership positions. In their new roles, Ted and Jeff will grow PernixData’s presence globally, establishing the company as a standard for storage performance in virtual data centers.

stinson_pernixdata Ted Stinson has more than 15 years of technology industry experience, playing key roles at various storage, security and software companies. Prior to joining PernixData, he served as SVP of WW sales at Quantum, helping the company to achieve more than $450 million in branded revenue, while bringing to market new archiving and data protection offerings to meet cloud, virtualization and big data requirements. Previously, he spent seven years at Symantec and Veritas, most recently as VP, advanced technology sales for the Americas, where he led sales for the company’s growth security and storage products. He began his career as an analyst at Salomon Brothers.

He holds a BA in Economics from Notre Dame University and an MBA from Stanford University.

aaron_pernixdata Jeff Aaron joins PernixData with over 19 years of enterprise experience and a track record marketing networking, storage and acceleration solutions. He will be responsible for worldwide marketing, messaging and branding, as well as go-to-market strategies for the PernixData Flash Virtualization Platform. Prior to joining PernixData, he was VP marketing at Silver Peak, in data acceleration software. He has over 19 years experience marketing in the high tech space, having worked at various software, networking and telecommunications companies including Airespace (acquired by Cisco), Turnstone Systems, and Newbridge Networks (acquired by Alcatel). He began his career as a senior consultant at Ernst and Young where he counseled Fortune 100 companies with IT design and planning.

He earned his BA from Duke University with majors in Computer Science and Economics.
