Backupify for Salesforce Backups Metadata

Backupify
Inc. has expanded its Backupify
for Salesforce offering to support backup for Salesforce.com
metadata, including reports (and their associated sources and
filters), page layouts, email templates, dashboards, and other
metadata types available.

The service ensures that metadata is
protected against data loss and that users have access to data that
would be time intensive and expensive to retrieve with manual
efforts.

According to an Aberdeen research
report SaaS Data Loss: The Problem You Didn’t Know You Had, one out
of three companies using a SaaS application, such as Salesforce, lose
data due to accidental deletion, overwriting, malicious actions, and
corruption from third party applications. Companies using Salesforce
need to protect their data against all forms of data loss and
existing backup solutions are often manual, time consuming, and
limited in the types of data they can backup.

The service launched in 2012, has
nearly doubled its customer base this year, as more companies are
seeking protection for cloud data. With daily, automated backup of
Salesforce CRM data, companies including Borrego Solar Systems, Inc.,
Mevion Medical Systems and KDHX
radio rely on Backupify to reduce the administrative burden of
manually backing up their data. The addition of metabackup for
Salesforce delivers on Backupify’s mission to incorporate features
based on enterprise customer feedback.

It is available on the Salesforce
AppExchange. Customers receive unlimited storage, and can choose
between Basic, Pro and Premium editions.
