Unitech Distributing Emulex

Emulex
Corporation has signed Unitech Electronics Co., LTD as a distributor in Taiwan
for its portfolio of FC and Ethernet I/O connectivity solutions.

Unitech, a distributor of IT products and services in Taiwan, has a broad reach
in the region with local original design manufacturers (ODMs), distributors and
the channel network. Unitech is one of the first AsiaPac regional distributors
to become a part of the Emulex Connect Partner Program, further enabling Emulex
to expand the program to APAC-based resellers and expand the reach of I/O connectivity solutions with customers in the region.

"This agreement with Unitech will
further Emulex’s partnerships with Taiwan domestic enterprises and ODMs and
will strengthen our long-term growth strategy in the region," said
Jimmy Yam, VP sales, APAC, Emulex. "As
Unitech extends its solutions portfolio, we are their first partner in
networking and storage connectivity, and together, we will address the
increased storage and network infrastructure needs of Taiwan’s data centers."

Unitech’s distribution agreement with Emulex includes the product
portfolio of Emulex I/O connectivity solutions. Together with Unitech, Emulex
will recruit new resellers into the Emulex Connect Partner Program, to grow the partner network and expertise in the region, and provide convenient and
efficient support to Taiwan customers. The program will
also provide both companies’ sales and reseller teams with the technical tools
needed to ramp up as quickly as possible.
