Sans Digital, Inc. announced its latest SAS RAID controller card bundle solution for performance without the high costs and complicated system configurations.

RocketRAID-4522 RAID-on-chip bundled solution provides users with a SAS system ready to deploy.

All solutions come standard with necessary components to get started, including SAS RAID controller, JBOD SAS enclosure (direct connection or SAS expander) and all the cables. The flexibility allows users to purchase solutions with HDDs or purchase the standard diskless solution and add your own HDDs. Sans Digital 4522 bundles offer from 8 bay to 24 bay tower and rackmount as a solution for ready to deploy RAID systems for all business applications and specialize applications, such as security market or video entertainment market.

The solutions feature the next generation of SAS 6Gb/s RAID-on-chip processor. The dedicated RAID-on-chip processor and 512MB of onboard DDR 3 cache memory, takes away the RAID processing from the host system which in turn provides a more stable and performing storage solution. RocketRAID-4522 series are 6Gb/s upgrades for current generation 3Gb/s RAID controllers or users looking for an upgrade from eSATA, USB, or FW800 connections who need fast speeds for 2K/4K HD video editing or storage extensive applications.

RocketRAID-4522 HBA is capable of supporting RAID arrays configured with any member of the company’s controller product lines including RAID eSATA cards such as the RR622, RR2314, and RAID SAS cards RR2711 and RR2722. Support from RAID-0, -1, -5, -6, -10, -50 and JBOD, RAID recovery and storage maintenance features provide reliability.  Built-in Web-based management interface feature details event logs and support e-mail notifications. In addition to RAID protection, RocketRAID-4522 support BBU, Backup Battery Unit, for protection against cache data during power failure, adding additional layers of data protection in the case of critical system faults and hardware failures.

End-to-end 6Gb SAS Expansion enables each RocketRAID-4522 series HBA support up to 120 SAS/SATA devices in cascade configurations when used in conjunction with SAS expander models such as the EliteSTOR ES316X6+B, ES424X6+B, MS8X6+(B) and MS12X6+(B). With support of 6G SATA or SAS HDDs or SSD, performance can reach over 1,000MB/s with various RAID applications.
