Open-E Offering Multiple Storage Server Manager Beta Download
For limited time
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on June 6, 2013 at 3:05 pmOpen-E, Inc. is offering for a limited time a download of its new Multiple Storage Server Manager (MSSM) Beta for simplified central management of all storage resources for SMB-to-enterprise, big data and cloud computing applications. Registration is needed.
The download of version v0.8 is available to all registered users and partners. The installation is fast and can be made on systems running MS Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit), with Pentium 4.2GHz (or equivalent) and at least 1GB of RAM.
MSSM dashboard can manage any number of Open-E DSS V7 servers (v.7.00 up10 7637 or newer) from any computer within the network, with a security guaranteed by a SSL connection. The OS independent, web-based GUI allows users to create a single view of all storage servers and resources on the network, while providing switching between servers. The integration of MSSM saves time and operating expense by simplifying the process of managing tasks on multiple servers.
"The release of the Multiple Storage Server Manager Beta follows our recent announcements of Open-E DSS V7 with Hyper-V Cluster Support, iSCSI (SAN) Active-Active Failover Cluster Feature Pack and the software achieving VMware Ready status," said Krzysztof Franek, CEO and president, Open-E. "The free download to our customer base demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing affordable virtualized storage solutions that deliver superior performance and enterprise reliability. The MSSM release continues our all-in-one universal storage systems strategy in helping businesses of all sizes to leverage off-the-shelf servers to simply build and operate the virtualized storage infrastructure they need to support their big data, cloud, and other SMB-to-enterprise applications."
