announced an update of Handy
Backup
software
featuring the backing up and restore of files with the use of the
WebDAV protocol.

The functionality
provides means of backing up files to and from services supporting
WebDav, like Box.com, JungleDisk, CloudMe, and others.

WebDAV services
allow users to edit and manage files and folders in a collaborative
manner.

The update allows
user to copy in two directions: backup from WebDAV servers and backup
to WebDAV service servers.

Backup from
WebDAV server:
The main idea of is
that several people can work on the same project. Therefore, all data
included in the work are at risk of damage or removal due to user
error. Handy Backup provides a way to automate the backup of WebDAV
folders.

Backup to WebDAV
folders:
Network servers are
located remotely in a secure place. Copying to WebDAV folders is a
data protection step, in view of possible hazards that might affect
the local media. Plus the data become available for browsing inside a
service
