His background in virtual infrastructure technology is suited for increasing market penetration of GreenBytes’ IO Offload Engine, a cloud-scale virtualization solution that enables telcos, MSPs, ISPs and enterprises meet VDI performance requirements using their existing storage architecture.

Johnson most recently served as VP sales and marketing Americas for Centrix Software, joining as the company’s first US employee, staffing the go-to-market team. Previously, he spent three years as VP global sales for DynamicOps, joining among the first handful of employees, where he led the company to a market leadership position and financing round before taking on a VP channels and sales alliances role to drive growth with key channel and alliance partners (company acquired by VMware).

Before DynamicOps, Brett spent four years with PlateSpin, a pioneer in the virtualization marketplace, where he developed channel, distribution and customer relationships and managed the enterprise sales organization prior to the company’s acquisition by Novell in 2008. Prior to that, he spent four years at Gomez where his responsibilities included business development including channel and OEM sales (company acquired by Compuware).

He has a BA in Economics and an MBA in Marketing and IT Management from the University of California, Irvine.

"With an established market presence in North America and Europe, I look forward to working with and expanding GreenBytes’ world-class sales team as we continue to gain traction and help shape the rapidly developing virtual desktop infrastructure market," said Brett Johnson, VP sales, GreenBytes. "With the IO Offload Engine, GreenBytes is revolutionizing the way large-scale VDI is deployed and managed by Telcos, MSPs and Enterprises, and I’m thrilled to be joining the company at such an exciting time in its evolution."

"Brett Johnson comes to GreenBytes with deep experience in the virtualization space," said Bob Petrocelli, CEO, GreenBytes. "Brett has firsthand experience with the problems associated with the broad adoption of VDI, and he understands how our technology is the catalyst for successful deployments."
