Netherland NDC Mediagroep Chooses Proact

NDC mediagroep signed a 3-year
contract with Proact Group for the supply,
implementation and management of a new storage and backup environment.

Part of this solution is provided by NDC mediagroep
itself and Proact is responsible for the remainder within its managed cloud
services. The environment as a whole will serve as the basis for increasing
availability and associated IT infrastructure services.

Head of NDC mediagroep’s ICT Department, Erik Miedema, said: "While we were doing some research for a new
San environment, we realised Proact was well-equipped to interpret our requirements
into a suitable solution. Proact stood out by listening to us very carefully
before coming up with a result".

Proact has provided a storage environment using Netapp FAS3240
Metrocluster where snapshots take care of the backup part of the solution.

Proact Remote Management as a Service, a pay-per-use facility, delivers the cloud
part of the solution, which provides management of the NetApp
solution. Proact MCS Vault services ensure a backup to a Proact data
centre.

Within the storage and backup solution, NDC mediagroep’s needs will be totally taken care of when it comes to management, while storage capacity will be provided at all times. In addition, the solution has the flexibility to respond to internal and external changes, in both technical and innovative areas, as well as working towards as low a TCO)as possible.
