"StorMagic’s SvSAN
storage virtual appliance solution enables us to cost effectively implement
simple, 2-server highly available systems with minimal hardware requirements,"
explained Uwe Fischer, head of Asset Information Systems at E-ON Climate &
Renewables GmbH. "With VMware and
StorMagic’s SvSAN at each location, we dramatically reduce the risk of downtime
for energy-production applications and eliminate the need for on-site support."
For E-ON, the SvSAN solution enables HA for energy production
applications and the control of local equipment in very remote renewable-energy
facilities. These locations support wind turbines, solar farms and biomass
plants. StorMagic partner, Stainczyk & Partner GmbH, developed and
implemented the proof of concept and is supporting the ongoing roll out, which
leverages SvSAN storage virtual appliance.
"SvSAN has become a
popular solution for organizations with branch and remote office environments,
because it makes high availability simpler and more affordable,"
responded Hans O’Sullivan, CEO at StorMagic.
StorMagic has experienced growth as a result of the
adoption of the SvSAN storage virtual appliance solution into virtualized
multi-site and branch-office environments.
