IceWEB, Inc. announced that
it has received an order from a cloud computing services company for an IceWEB Model
5000-HC Unified Storage Data Storage Platform.
With the new IceWEB storage
system, cloud users can use IceWEB replication services to automatically backup
all their data, whether it is new data or a modification of existing files.
IceWEB’s replication service encrypts the data for secure
communication in the cloud. In addition, the Model 5000-HC provides clients
with an off-site resource for disaster recovery.
"Any business is
at great risk when all their computing assets are located in one place,"
said Ed Kraus, IceWEB Operations VP. "Having
backup storage in the cloud, at a separate location just makes sense. And being
online, customers have access to their data no matter where they are. All they
need is a secure Internet connection."
The IceWEB 5000-HC provides high-density storage for all
business applications-whether they are in the cloud or the data center. Its
128-bit ZFS file system provides for scaling. The 5000-HC
also supports FC and 10GbE connections, is VMware compatible and
includes features such as unlimited snapshots, clones, asynchronous and
synchronous replication and many more at no extra charge.
All IceWEB Unified Storage Platforms are available through
the Company’s exclusive value-added distributor Promark Technology. Promark markets IceWEB products throughout the United States
through its nationwide network of 1,200 channel partners.
