Ciphertex Debuts Ranger-SSD Secure RAID

Ciphertex Data Security, provider of data security products and services, introduced the RANGER-SSD, an SSD-based RAID system that combines AES 256-bit hardware-based encrypted RAID storage with up to 3 terabytes of capacity using five 2.5" hot swappable SSD drives.

The new Ranger SSD was demonstrated at the FOSE Conference and Exhibition, in Washington, DC.

Designed for rugged and portable mobile computing environments, the Ranger-SSD features three interface options including dual FireWire 800, eSATA, and USB 3.0 with a replaceable user plug.

The hallmark of the new Ranger SSD is its ruggedness – the device can withstand severe shocks and vibrations without losing data.
