Fermilab Contracts With Veeam

Veeam
Software has been awarded a contract by Fermi National Accelerator
Laboratory (Fermilab) to replace its existing virtualization backup and
replication solutions with Veeam’s 2-in-1 product: Veeam Backup &
Replication.

Fermilab is a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory specializing
in high-energy particle physics.

Veeam Backup & Replication provides image-based data protection designed
specifically for virtual environments. It is used with more than 1.5 million
virtual machines (VMs) worldwide and is one component of Veeam Management
Suite Plus, which Fermilab purchased for its virtualized server environment.

Soon Fermilab will begin using the other components of Veeam Management
Suite – for planning and documentation, monitoring and alerting, business
categorization and file management – enabling complete control of the virtual
infrastructure."
