Scale Computing Reports 258% Y/Y Revenue Growth for 1Q11

Scale Computing, announced record results for its first quarter, ending March 31, 2011 (Q1’11). Scale Computing’s Q1’11 revenue grew 258 percent over Q1’10. In addition, Scale Computing also announced that Doug Hooton has joined the company as vice president of operations.

Scale announced the addition of Doug Hooton as vice president of operations. Hooton brings over 25 years of experience and leads the company’s supply chain management, professional services and technical support. In his new role at Scale Computing, Hooton is responsible for creating, implementing and managing the company’s product logistics, support, professional services, and training programs for customers and partners.
 
 Doug brings to Scale operations and industry expertise with a track record and over 25 years of experience. He built his storage industry expertise as an Enterprise Account Manager with EMC. Prior to this, he was Vice President of Client Services with ExactTarget, a SaaS company, where his responsibilities included account management, professional services and technical support. Doug has held senior operations and client services positions with several early stage companies including Walker Information, TManage, Rodeer Systems and IntelliQuest. Doug also brings expertise in establishing and expanding international operations.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University and a Masters of Business Administration from Butler University.
