HP Confirms Upcoming P6000 EVA in June

With an installed base of nearly 100,000 EVA units worldwide, the program is an opportunity for clients to accelerate storage consolidation projects and reduce data center costs without retraining administrative staff.
Part of the HP Converged Infrastructure portfolio, the HP P6000 EVA is the company’s fifth generation EVA and features increased capacity and performance. The HP P6000 EVA is typically deployed for core enterprise applications from messaging to enterprise resource planning. With the HP P6000 EVA, clients have the opportunity to modernize legacy infrastructure and increase return on investment.
"We looked at what other storage vendors had on the market, and the HP EVA’s expandability, ease of administration and resiliency features fit our needs perfectly," said Bill Haggard, director of Enterprise Infrastructure for the Dallas Cowboys. "With the introduction of the HP P6000 EVA, we are excited to see the increased efficiency and integration into the rest of the Converged Infrastructure while continuing to deliver industry-leading simplicity."
The HP P6000 EVA delivers flexibility and performance with a 6-Gb/second serial-attached SCSI (SAS) backend, support for standard SAS hard disk drives, and 8-Gb Fibre Channel connectivity. Further details on management enhancements and advanced software features will be disclosed at the HP Discover event on June 6 – 10 in Las Vegas.
