Mobile Armor and Seagate to Co-Market Self-Encrypting HDD

Mobile Armor, Inc. and Seagate Technology PLC announced a strategic relationship to include co-marketing and sales activities to reach government, healthcare and other customers demanding self-encrypting drive solutions to lock down their personal computers.

Mobile Armor DriveArmor is an enterprise-class solution for policy-driven control for managing data security on laptops and desktops with FIPS-certified and the OPAL-compliant self-encrypting disk drives from Seagate. DriveArmor delivers centralized management, pre-boot authentication and auditing and reporting capabilities to Seagate Momentus Self-Encrypting Drives (SEDs), designed to prevent unauthorized access to data on lost or stolen computers.

Seagate Momentus SEDs deliver government-grade encryption and pre-boot authentication without performance degradation to protect data where it lives – on the hard drive. The Seagate Momentus drives are FIPS 140-2 Validated to protect sensitive data. By coupling the Seagate drives with Mobile Armor DriveArmor management and reporting features, organizations are able to meet their regulatory compliance requirements for data protection.

DriveArmor is one product in Mobile Armor’s arsenal of data encryption and device management products. Mobile Armor offers a fully integrated, centrally managed data encryption suite that protects mobile and desktop PCs, smartphones, CD/DVDs, removable media and ships FIPS certified 140-2 level 3 USB encrypted flash drives with embedded anti-virus protection. The Mobile Armor Suite may be delivered on-premise or in a SaaS hosted environment. The Mobile Armor Data Encryption and Device Management Suite incorporates PolicyServer, DataArmor, FileArmor, KeyArmor and DriveArmor.
