Veeam Backup and Replication for Quantum D2D Backup Appliances

Quantum and Veeam are actively engaged in joint selling opportunities to help customers address the complex challenges associated with deduplication in virtualized environments.

Veeam Backup & Replication has its own built-in deduplication and compression capabilities, and it can also be used in compatibility mode to write data to be deduplicated on Quantum’s purpose-built DXi 4500/6500/7500 disk-based backup appliances. The Veeam Backup & Replication GUI can be used to browse deduplicated data in the DXi NAS interface and restore full VMDK images as well as single files.
