StoreGrid Backup Software v3.0 From Vembu

Vembu Technologies announced the availability of StoreGrid Service Provider Edition v3.0, a new version of Vembu’s online backup software, specifically designed for large-scale deployments.

Master MSPs (managed service providers), large MSPs, and hosting providers can now use StoreGrid v3.0 to provide their resellers and customers with scalable and reliable remote backup services featuring industry-leading performance and manageability.

Enhanced features of StoreGrid v3.0:

• Clustering & Load Balancing – StoreGrid backup server installations can now be configured into a cluster, and new backup servers can be dynamically added to handle increased loads. This ensures effective and reliable scalability, without any changes on the client side.
• Hierarchical Management Structure – A StoreGrid server web portal enables all parties to have customizable "self-service" management access for their backup deployments. Resellers, customers and end-users can access and administer their backups, run restores, and download restored files through the management portal.
• Advanced Reporting – Increased reporting capabilities with events andalarms help service providers proactively monitor, identify, and manage problems when they develop.
• Web Services APIs – StoreGrid v3.0 provides access to internal data and functionalities through its Web Services APIs. This enables MSPs to integrate StoreGrid into other third-party platforms, and customize and brand the solution to meet their needs.
• Replication to Amazon S3 – StoreGrid backup server can now be replicated to Amazon’s S3 Cloud storage for backup data redundancy.

StoreGrid 3.0 offers the same client-side features that have become a hallmark of Vembu’s products, including backup of MS Exchange Server (to the mailbox level), MS SQL Server, and MySQL. StoreGrid also backs-up Outlook, the Active Directory and System State.
