(Sun Federal), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sun Microsystems, Inc., to provide Sun Federal with Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture (ATCA) blade storage products.
Under the terms of the agreement, Sun Federal will offer Astute Networks’ Caspian Edge Storage Blade products to its customers within the federal and military markets. Astute Networks’ Caspian products can be integrated with a number of Sun’s ATCA solutions such as the Sun Netra(R) CT900 ATCA Blade Server. "The Astute Networks product line will complement our ATCA blade server offerings such as the Netra CT900 by providing fully integrated solutions for a myriad of agency applications."
"Sun Federal is a leader in providing innovative networking solutions to all areas of the federal market, and Astute Networks is delighted to be aligned with such a highly regarded technology organization," said Clark Masters, president and chief executive officer, Astute Networks, Inc. "We are looking forward to working closely with Sun Federal to offer customers the superior functionality that ATCA technology has to offer."
