Designed for industry insiders by industry insiders in the commercial IT market, The BD Event has been created to allow business development efforts to occur in a focused forum, without traditional marketing distractions and costs. The BD Event will be held in Boston, MA at the Hilton Boston Financial District from June 8th – 10th, 2009.
This event is focused specifically on technology vendors, financial professionals, service providers, resellers, press and analysts, with the goal of creating a compelling and inexpensive business development and networking opportunity for industry insiders. The BD Event opens the door to industry relationships and partnerships without the expense of exhibiting or the split focus of also catering to buyers and prospects.
Brad O’Neill, CEO of TechValidate Software says: "We all know purpose built technology aimed at a problem is a better solution than a general purpose one. This is much the same thing. Why deal with the distractions and expense of trying to combine biz dev and customer marketing, which often dilutes the value of both? The brilliant insight of an event like this is that it allows us a no-hassle, no-frills venue to meet with our IT vendor customers, partners and prospects without breaking our budget."
Mark Smith, Executive Vice President of JPR Communications said: "In this economy, vendors should be very careful about their marketing expenditures. A focused event like this, especially one that is such a good value, allows vendors to network with prospective partners in one space, so it’s a unique opportunity in our industry."
Major OEM’s will be able to present on their specific objectives, educating potential suppliers and partners on their plans, which benefits all concerned. ESG’s Steve Duplessie states: “Since everyone is going to try to get their stuff into the OEM anyway, the OEM might as well make it a more efficient process. By telling the industry specifically what it wants, what it doesn’t, and how it wants it, the industry can respond more effectively – saving the OEM a lot of time.”
Event participation includes:
- Space for independent meetings
- Regularly updated and final list of attendees
- Thought leadership presentations by prominent industry leaders
- Major OEM’s presenting specific requirements and needs
- 15 Minute ‘Emerging Vendor’ presentations
- Networking cocktail reception each night
Registration is $495 per person prior to April 1st.
