HPE Named a Leader in 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Infrastructure Platform Consumption Services

HPE is helping enterprises simplify increasingly distributed, AI-native IT environments and maintain greater control over security, sovereignty, performance, and cost

HPE announced it was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Infrastructure Platform Consumption Services for the second consecutive year. Over the past year, HPE has advanced GreenLake with agentic AIOps and unified cloud operations software that simplifies managing and optimizing enterprise AI factories and IT infrastructure.‌“AI is forcing enterprises to rethink the way they operate infrastructure, not as separate clouds, data platforms and systems, but as one intelligent environment,” said Varma Kunaparaju, SVP & GM of CloudOps Software & Platform, HPE. “We are building the operating model and platform for the agentic enterprise, giving customers the ability to simplify operations, govern intelligently, continuously optimize, and modernize without sacrificing choice.”

HPE simplifies hybrid operations, governance and resilience
As enterprises adopt AI across an increasingly distributed mix of private clouds, public clouds, edge environments, virtual machines, containers, bare metal, and AI infrastructure, they need a more consistent way to simplify, govern and optimize those environments. Over the past year, HPE has expanded GreenLake as a unified operating experience across HPE infrastructure and heterogeneous IT environments in four key areas:

  • Simplify hybrid cloud operations: HPE CloudOps Software unifies HPE Morpheus Software, HPE OpsRamp Software, and HPE Zerto Software capabilities in one stack, enabling organizations to provision and orchestrate services, observe and optimize workloads, and protect applications and data with cyber resilience across private cloud, public cloud, and distributed infrastructure
  •  Continuously optimize intelligent and agentic AI operations: HPE is applying AI-driven insights, automation, and natural-language interaction across infrastructure and services to help IT teams move toward more continuous and autonomous operations. GreenLake Intelligence and a growing portfolio of HPE copilots help customers improve utilization, accelerate issue resolution, strengthen service levels, and optimize costs
  • Observe and operate AI using AI: HPE CloudOps Software not only leverages AI to drive increasingly autonomous IT operations but also enables organizations to observe, govern, and optimize AI factories and agentic business workloads. Through intelligent closed-loop operations, HPE helps enterprises manage token consumption and costs, enforce guardrails and policies, maintain human-in-the-loop oversight, and provide the auditability and compliance controls required for enterprise AI adoption
  • Govern intelligently: With a focus on resilience, sovereignty, policy enforcement, and lifecycle management, customers can operate with confidence while retaining the flexibility to choose where and how their applications run
  • Preserve customer choice and ecosystem flexibility: HPE CloudOps Software supports heterogeneous environments spanning HPE and third-party infrastructure, virtualization platforms, Kubernetes ecosystems, and public cloud services. Its open architecture and broad ecosystem integrations help organizations modernize at their own pace without disruptive migrations or vendor lock-in

HPE supports a growing range of hybrid cloud and AI use cases
Across industries and use cases, customers are using GreenLake to simplify operations, strengthen control, and optimize increasingly distributed environments. GreenLake supports approximately 52,000 customers, reflecting continued expansion in both adoption and capabilities.

From private cloud and virtualization modernization to enterprise AI and data-intensive workloads, GreenLake provides a consistent operating experience while giving customers flexibility in where and how they run. Customers can deploy and consume GreenLake across a variety of operating models, including directly within their own environments and through managed service providers, helping organizations align infrastructure and services with their specific business, operational, and regulatory requirements.
