IBC 2026: SNS EVO Gets Up to 40% Faster
Faster performance for multi-user 4K video editing and workflow automations
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on September 11, 2026 at 2:00 pmStudio Network Solutions (SNS) announced OS-level updates that increase aggregate throughput by up to 40% for select EVO shared storage configurations.
“Creative teams need technology that moves fast with them. Through our relentless pursuit of excellence, we identified a way to further optimize EVO to help creative teams bring their visions to life faster,” said Ryan Stoutenborough, president SNS.

Recent tests in SNS’s real-world production lab showed the performance boost for SSD-powered EVO 8 Bay and EVO 16 Bay shared storage systems running the optimized EVO OS v.7.1.1. The increased throughput is achieved with less processing power, meaning more headroom is available for background automations and multi-editor 4K workflows simultaneously.
“Continuous improvement efforts from within our research, development, and testing team have enabled us to extract more read/write performance, use less processing power, and provide an even better workflow solution for creative production teams today. In other words, our fastest storage solutions just got faster,” said Eric Newbauer, CTO/co-founder, SNS.
Beyond OS-level performance upgrades, SNS integrated ShareBrowser Admin into EVO as a convenient plug-in to simplify administrative workflows and custom metadata management. SNS also expanded compatibility of EVO’s Transcode Accelerator to include Windows workstations, allowing creative teams to pool resources across EVO servers and Mac or Windows workstations running Adobe Media Encoder for faster proxy gen and transcoding.
These updates come standard on new EVO systems and are currently available as a free upgrade for eligible legacy systems.
