Raidon Technology Announces Stardom ST4R-B32

with two independent hardware RAID groups in one enclosure

Raidon Technology unveils the Stardom ST4R-B32, a 4-bay USB-C DAS featuring two independent 2-drive hardware RAID groups in one enclosure.Drives 1–2 form G1 and Drives 3–4 form G2. Each group can be independently configured as RAID 0, RAID 1, BIG, or JBOD, allowing users to assign different storage roles within the same system.

For example:
G1 RAID 0 – Active Project Storage
G2 RAID 1 – Protected Project Data

Both RAID groups can be accessed simultaneously through a single USB-C connection.

The ST4R-B32 supports USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 up to 20Gb/s, four 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA HDDs/SSDs, and up to 30TB per drive for 120TB of raw capacity.

Additional features include lockable hot-swap trays, an 80mm cooling fan, built-in 150W power supply, system monitoring, and Easy Data Vault support for direct photo and video backup from compatible USB-C iPhone and iPad devices.

Why ST4R-B32?
Traditional 4-bay RAID systems are typically designed around one primary RAID array and one storage role. The ST4R-B32 takes a different approach by providing two independently managed RAID groups within one enclosure.

This allows users to run different RAID configurations for different tasks—such as performance-oriented working storage and protected project storage—while using only one enclosure and one USB-C host connection.

The result is a more flexible storage workflow with fewer devices, fewer connections, and simpler desktop storage management.

Who Needs It?
The ST4R-B32 is well suited for users who need more than one local storage role from a single DAS, including:

  • Creative Professionals – active editing plus protected project storage
  • Photography & Video Studios – working media and completed project data
  • Workstation Users – separate storage roles for different applications or projects
  • SOHO Environments – business data and secondary local storage
  • Mobile Content Creators – direct photo and video backup from compatible USB-C iPhone and iPad devices
  • Professional & Technical Workflows – CAD projects, imaging data, inspection files, and dataset staging

Designed for modern local storage workflows, the ST4R-B32 offers a clear alternative to traditional single-array 4-bay RAID systems by combining two independent storage workflows in one enclosure.

One Enclosure. Two Storage Roles. Built for Modern Workflows.
