Toshiba brings S300 AI Surveillance Hard Drive to retail channels
Retail packaging makes Toshiba's AI-optimised surveillance storage easier for professional users to source through retail and e-commerce channels

First introduced in bulk packaging in November 2025, the S300 AI is now available in retail packaging to support a broader range of purchasing models while delivering the same enterprise-grade performance and reliability.
The S300 AI retail range is aimed at professional surveillance deployments, including system integrators, IT resellers and security installers deploying advanced video analytics. By extending availability beyond traditional surveillance distribution channels, Toshiba makes it easier for customers to purchase replacement drives or smaller deployment quantities through established retail and online distribution channels while continuing to use storage designed specifically for AI-enabled surveillance workloads.
Designed to sustain the mixed sequential recording and random-access workloads created when AI software continuously analyses recorded video, the S300 AI combines capacities from 8TB1 to 24TB with optimised performance for high-resolution recording and AI-enabled surveillance. The hard drive supports up to 64 camera streams2 together with 32 additional AI streams, making it suitable for demanding commercial and public-sector surveillance deployments across sectors including transportation, manufacturing, smart cities, healthcare, finance and logistics.
The drive also delivers the durability required for mission-critical environments. With a workload rating of 550TB3 per year, an MTTF of up to 2.5 million hours4, support for multi-bay RAID systems and a five-year limited warranty, the S300 AI provides dependable long-term storage.

The Toshiba S300 AI in retail packaging will be available from the end of Q3/beginning of Q4 2026.
