This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on March 4, 2026 at 2:00 pmThe IT Press Tour, a media event launched in June 2010, announced participating organizations for the 67th edition organized in Sofia, Bulgaria, March 31st and April 1st, 2026.
During this edition dedicated to IT infrastructure, cloud, networking, data management and storage, big data and analytics plus AI as it is everywhere today, these organizations will be met: Caeves Technology, Leil Storage, NGX Storage, PoINT Software & Systems, StorPool and Storware.
“We’re back in Europe after a very dense edition in California in January. This coming edition, the 67th, organized in the beautiful city of Sofia will be the opportunity to meet 6 companies, 2 of them will be new for the team, Caeves and Storware, and the 4 others we already met as we followed for a few years and we need a company and product update,” said Philippe Nicolas, creator of The IT Press Tour. “The tour continues its fantastic journey and we measured each day the impact it produces on the market having promoted 361 companies for 613 sessions so far without counting this coming edition. These numbers speak for themselves, The IT Press Tour is unique and we’ll beat soon new records,” concluded Nicolas.
With quotes from some participating companies for this coming edition:
- Jaap van Duijvenbode, Co-founder and Head of Product and Customer Experience, Caeves Technology
“We are excited to join The IT Press Tour to engage directly with industry leaders and journalists at a time when enterprise storage is reaching a critical tipping point. Data is growing at an unprecedented pace, however much of it remains dark and disconnected from real business value. Organizations want their historical data ready for search and AI, but high-performance storage is expensive and traditional archive approaches limit accessibility. Legacy NAS and archive solutions were simply not built for an era where every document can become an intelligent data source. At CAEVES, in close partnership with Microsoft, we transform dark data into cost-efficient, AI-ready cloud storage that remains accessible without disrupting users or applications. We look forward to contributing to the broader conversation on modern data foundations and sharing how deep storage can become a strategic advantage in the AI era.” - Aleksandr Ragel, CEO, Leil Storage
“Global data is growing exponentially, but the legacy software managing 87% of it is stuck in the past, wasting massive amounts of space and energy. Leil Storage’s HDD-native approach bridges this gap. By aligning our software directly with the sequential physical realities of modern high-density media, we eliminate the bottlenecks of legacy stacks, delivering cloud-scale capacity and performance for the enterprise. We are excited to return to The IT Press Tour to demonstrate how to deploy high-density SMR drives at scale without the traditional performance tax. We will share our latest product advancements and roadmap, which provides extra visibility into our mission to bridge the software-hardware gap and unlock these gains for everyone.” - Thomas Thalmann, CEO, PoINT Software & Systems
“Companies face growing challenges to their storage strategy, not just technical and economic, but increasingly legal, as data sovereignty becomes critical. At The IT Press Tour in Sofia, Bulgaria, we will present our S3-to-Tape approach – a software solution made in Europe. Integrating a tape-based S3 storage class into the on-prem infrastructure enhances control, reduces foreign dependency, and cuts costs while maintaining scalability.” - Boyan Ivanov, CEO, StorPool
“At StorPool, we believe modern infrastructure should be a source of competitive advantage. As organizations actively rethink their virtualization, cloud and AI strategies, the need for fast, resilient, and operationally simple storage becomes even more critical. Our mission is to provide service providers and enterprises with a powerful storage platform that optimizes cost across the entire datacenter, so they can focus on growth, not back-end operations. Events like The IT Press Tour are essential because they bring industry leaders together to showcase advances in innovation and move the ecosystem forward.” - Paweł Mączka CEO, Storware
“From day one, Storware chose a different path. While much of the market focused on proprietary virtualization, we built enterprise-grade backup and recovery natively for KVM- and Xen-based platforms – anticipating the industry’s shift toward openness and flexibility. Today, licensing volatility, vendor lock-in, and regulatory frameworks such as NIS2 and DORA are no longer peripheral concerns but strategic drivers reshaping infrastructure decisions. At the same time, enterprises are embracing Red Hat OpenShift, OpenShift Virtualization, OLVM, and modern HCI platforms such as Nutanix AHV, VergeOS, and SC//Platform to build more flexible, multi-vendor environments. Storware was built for this reality, delivering data protection that is truly independent of any single platform – empowering organizations with sovereignty, resilience, and full control over their data. At IT Press Tour, we look forward to discussing how open architectures, regulatory-driven sovereignty, and multi-hypervisor strategies are redefining enterprise IT – and why independence at the data protection layer is becoming mission-critical.”
