StorageNewsletter in 2025
A new era has started leveraging all past work
By Philippe Nicolas | January 9, 2026 at 2:02 pmAs many of you know StorageNewsletter.com, the online version of the historical monthly print magazine “Computer Data Storage Newsletter” started in 1988 by Jean-Jacques Maleval, has entered the wire in 2007. Since that it occupied a unique place in the industry and some of you may remember the very first article November 24, 2007, still online and accessible. All articles we published since day 1 are available free of charge and we’re proud to say that since the beginning until today the magazine has published 81,743 articles that positions the publication clearly has number 1 in the world. And you understand it, StorageNewsletter is not a blog. This bible or reference effect is also the result of our readers that continue to share news with us, meet us during events and conferences and globally trust us.
To put numbers in perspective and help you judge, we published during a civil year around 3400/3500 articles, that means 280-290 per month, just below 300 sometimes passed, or 70-90 per week as we try to publish approximately on average 12-15 articles every day. Wow!!
And all these articles are obviously free of charge, we mean there is no fee for a company to share and publish news, free to read as the website is fully open. We invite you to subscribe to our daily newsletter that delivers every morning the news of the day with a special selection for the top news. The newsletter reflects the website.
In terms of views, we’re above 1.2 million per month and we have secure ways to reach 2 million in the coming months.
The bible status is an obvious attribute for the magazine as these numbers – articles and views – speak for themselves. You can search among all of these news and we’re pretty sure we have the news you’re looking for since 2007!!.
The mission has evolved over time with news of course, the DNA of the magazine, but also analysis, opinions, surveys, reports, conference recaps, facts, predictions, corporate blog posts, company profile, people moves and 1-1 interviews.
We have introduced weekly and monthly compilations to summarize top and key articles.
We also launched the Awards 2026 and the window to participate and submit products still is open, more info here.
