Innodisk Corp., New Taipei, Taiwan, has been assigned a patent (12504888) developed by Lai; Chung-Yi, and Chang; Chen-Xing, New Taipei, Taiwan, for “data access method of solid-state drive device and solid-state drive device.“
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “A data access method of a solid-state drive (SSD) device includes storing data into a volatile memory or reading the data from the volatile memory according to an instruction from a host. Next, upon receiving a shutdown command from the host or detecting a power-off signal, transferring the data stored in the volatile memory to a non-volatile memory from mapping data of the volatile memory to a physical address of the non-volatile memory to accordingly perform a data storage process. Then, upon receiving a boot command from the host, transferring the data stored in the non-volatile memory to the volatile memory from mapping data of the non-volatile memory to a physical address of the volatile memory to accordingly perform a data loading process.”

Method, system, and storage medium to safeguard files from unauthorized copying
Innodisk Corp., New Taipei, Taiwan, has been assigned a patent (12499261) developed by Chen; Chao-Hung, and Lai; Chung-Yi,, New Taipei, Taiwan, for “method, system, and storage medium to safeguard files from unauthorized copying.“
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “A method for preventing a file to be protected, from being copied includes the steps of executing a prevention of replication application on a host to enable or disable a setting program, processing the file to be protected, and defining a supplementary protective zone after processing the file to be protected. The prevention of replication application of the host notifies firmware of a storage medium, of a predetermined logical block address corresponding to the supplementary protective zone by a communication connection, so as to complete a setting procedure for preventing the file to be protected, from being copied. When a data access address read by the host from the storage medium includes the predetermined logical block address, the firmware executing a pre-stored data blocking program so as to prevent the file to be protected, from being copied by the host.”
