Asustor Launches Three Models of Lockerstor Gen2+ Series Desktop NAS with Dual 5GbE Network Ports

Asustor Inc. launches the professional storage cloud Lockerstor Gen2+ desktop NAS series, including 3 models: Lockerstor 2 Gen2+, Lockerstor 4 Gen2+, and Lockerstor 6 Gen2+.

The Lockerstor Gen2+ continues the architecture of its predecessor, featuring an Intel Celeron N5105 Quad-Core processor that clocks up to 2.9GHz, combining outstanding multitasking performance with low power consumption. It supports SMB Multichannel to fully leverage the advantages of 5GbE for up to 10Gb of performance, making it a choice for video creators and professional users to perform 4K editing, media backup, and synchronization.

The Lockerstor Gen2+ arrives with dual 5GbE network ports, doubling the bandwidth compared to the original Lockerstor Gen2 and effectively halves the transfer time of large files within the local network. This improves stability and efficiency when multiple users access data simultaneously. Sequential RW speeds using SMB multi-channel are 1146/536MB/s respectively when testing in RAID-5. The Lockerstor Gen2+ continues to offer flexible and high-value storage configurations. For users requiring high capacity with high speeds, the Lockerstor Gen2+ supports 4x8TB M.2 SSDs while also supporting 30TB HDDs.

This means the largest version, the Lockerstor 6 Gen2+ provides up to 212TB of storage space with 32TB of that being the M.2 SSDs for maximum flexibility. In response to feedback demanding more USB flexibility, the company have added an additional USB 2.0 port to handle low speed applications like UPS devices to ensure all high speed USB 10Gb interface has been added to support external devices such as UPS and printers. Combined with hardware 4K encoding/decoding support and HDMI output, the Lockerstor Gen2+ can easily handle multimedia playback, monitoring, and video application scenarios.
