MagStor S3 Solv Range of Object Storage Solutions for Tape Archive

MagStor announced availability of S3 Solv, a range of S3 tape archive solutions enabling on-prem, hybrid cloud, and off-prem S3 cloud storage at the lowest possible cost per TB. 

MagStor has initially partnered with PoINT Software & Systems GmbH, provider in S3 solutions for tape storage, to bundle their S3-to-Tape solution PoINT Archival Gateway (PAG) and other software with MagStor PetaByte machines to deliver enterprise grade S3 archive solutions that are unmatched in terms of performance and flexibility.

The company’s S3 Solv market strategy is to offer alternatives to captive and expensive solutions to pure cloud storage providers. In addition to the PoINT Archival Gateway solutions, MagStor is also offering services to help customers with Cloud Repatriation and Migration using PoINT software’s Data Replicator and MagStor’s existing custom data migration services. Future product releases under the S3 Solv umbrella will support object storage for tape in new and exciting use cases including those for SME and Media and Entertainment.
