In this role, Filippine will lead Silk’s go-to-market functions, customer success operations, and global expansion as the company accelerates adoption across mission-critical enterprise and AI workloads.

Filippine brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, and data management. He previously held executive leadership roles at Vertica, CarbonBlack and CloudHealth Technologies, where he helped scale both companies through periods of rapid growth, leading to successful acquisitions by HP and VMware. His background in sales execution and customer impact across cloud and security platforms positions him well to lead Silk’s next stage of expansion.
“Ed is an experienced operator with a strong track record in scaling companies through inflection points,” said Dani Golan, CEO, Silk. “As enterprises push AI into production and face growing performance and cost challenges in the cloud, Ed’s leadership in GTM will be critical in expanding the Silk platform to a broader set of global customers.”
Silk enables AI by providing ultra-fast, high-throughput storage that powers real-time data pipelines, model training, and inference workloads – without the latency or bottlenecks of traditional cloud storage. With Silk, enterprises can accelerate AI initiatives while optimizing cloud economics and avoiding costly infrastructure redesigns.
“I’m thrilled to join Silk at such a transformative time,” said Filippine. “AI is reshaping every industry, and Silk is uniquely positioned to solve the cloud performance and efficiency challenges that come with it. I’m excited to partner with our customers to help them scale their most critical workloads, including AI, faster and smarter.”
This appointment marks a major milestone in Silk’s mission to modernize how organizations store, access, and scale their most important data across the public cloud.
