WIIT and Cubbit to Power De Agostini’s European Cloud Storage
With Cubbit tech in WIIT's data centres, De Agostini secures its digital assets on a fully European cloud
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on July 7, 2025 at 2:01 pmCubbit, geo-distributed cloud storage enabler, and WIIT S.p.A, one of the main European players in the market of cloud computing services for businesses, focused on the provision of continuous hybrid and hosted private cloud services for applications critics, announce today that the TV channels of De Agostini Editore (DeAKids and DeAJunior), and KidsMe have migrated 1PB of data to WIIT’s European Cloud Vault, a fully managed cloud object storage service enabled by Cubbit’s DS3 Composer technology.
The migration project was driven by the need to store the publisher’s digital archive in a way that guarantees reliability, accessibility, and efficiency over time.
As part of its Business Alliance Partnership with WIIT, Cubbit enabled the group to deliver this solution by integrating next-gen cloud technology into WIIT’s data centres. The result is a service that combines the performance and security of a hyperscaler with greater cost efficiency, ease of use, and full data sovereignty – enabled by a technology entirely designed, developed, and operated in Europe.
