According to latest memory spot price trend report from TrendForce Corp, regarding DRAM, SK hynix and Micron are currently in last-time buy negotiations with DDR4 customers, pushing spot prices higher as contract prices are set to rise in Q3 2025.

DDR4 products are still the category experiencing the largest price hikes in the spot market, with modules surpassing chips in terms of price increases. This trend indicates that a substantial portion of older processor platforms and device models still need DDR4 for memory support. Currently, both SK hynix and Micron are actively negotiating last-time buy agreements with customers. Therefore, spot prices of DDR4 products are expected to continue rising on the back of contract price hikes in 3Q25. The average spot price of mainstream chips (i.e., DDR4 1Gx8 3,200MT/s) has increased by 22.2% from $3.421 last week to $4.182 this week.
