VDURA Unveils Data Platform V.11.2
Introducing hyperScaleFlow native CSI support, end-to-end encryption, and a 60% TCO advantage
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on June 3, 2025 at 2:02 pmVDURA, Inc. announced Version 11.2 of the VDURA Data Platform, a major software release that debuts HyperScaleFlow – a true-hyperscale flash-and-disk engine-while boosting system performance, adding a native Kubernetes CSI plug-in, and optional end-to-end encryption for added security of sensitive data.
Together, the new capabilities deliver up to 60 % lower TCO without compromising NVMe-class speed for AI and HPC workloads.
How HyperScaleFlow Delivers the 60 % Advantage
Challenge | Legacy Fix | HyperScaleFlow Difference |
Write-intensive AI checkpoints | Over-provisioned TLC flash or DRAM buffers | BurstBridge absorbs spikes, then writes large sequential blocks to Pascari 128TB QLC NVMe drives-cutting raw flash by > 50 % and extending endurance. |
Long-tail datasets and model artifacts | External object stores or tape silos | Store data onto 30TB-plus hyperscale HDDs – tripling disk density and halving power per PB. |
Fragmented support contracts |
Separate HW, SW, and maintenance | VDURACare Premier bundles 10-year, no-cost replacement for every QLC SSD and hyperscale HDD plus 24×7 expert response-one SKU. |
What‘s New in V11.2
Focus Area | V11.2 Enhancements |
Performance | Up to 30 % higher mixed-IO throughput via BurstBridge optimizations. |
Cloud-Native Integration | Native CSI plug-in for zero-script persistent-volume provisioning, snapshots, and clones across any Kubernetes distribution. |
Security | End-to-End Encryption-data encrypted in flight and through at rest, managed per volume. |
Key Benefits
- True Hyperscale Architecture: Pascari 128TB QLC flash + 30TB-class hyperscale HDD capacity in one namespace
- 60 % Lower TCO: Fewer drives, smaller footprint, reduced power and cooling, consolidated licensing.
- Flash-First Performance: Sub-millisecond latency plus a 30 % throughput boost in V11.2 keeps GPUs saturated.
- Cloud-Native Ready: Native CSI simplifies stateful Kubernetes for AI pipelines.
- Encryption Protection: Transparent, per-volume encryption from edge to core.
- VDURACare Premier covers QLC SSDs and hyperscale HDDs that hit write endurance limits – guaranteed replacement for 10 years with active maintenance contract. Includes firmware, software, and media support with 24×7 expert response – one SKU, risk-free for a decade.
“V11.2 delivers the speed, cloud-native simplicity, and security our customers expect–while HyperScaleFlow applies hyperscaler design principles, leveraging the same commodity SSDs and HDDs to enable efficient scaling and breakthrough economics,” said Ken Claffey, CEO, VDURA. “It‘s NVMe performance up front, cloud-level capacity economics at the back, and a single support contract that erases risk for 10 years.”
Availability
VDURA Data Platform V.11.2 – including HyperScaleFlow, Native CSI, and End-to-End Encryption – will be available on V5000 systems in Q3 2025. Existing V5000 customers can enable V11.2 via a non-disruptive software upgrade.
