TDK: Fiscal 1Q25 Financial Results

TDK Corporation announced its financial results for 1FQ25 ended June 30, 2024.

The Japanese company has several businesses including magnetic application products segment made up of HDD heads, HDD suspension assemblies (HSAs), and magnet sales.

For this segment, sales sales increased 43.9% Y/Y, from ¥38,217 million to ¥55,013 million. Sales of HDD heads and HDD suspension assemblies increased to the ICT market. Sales of magnets decreased mainly to the automotive market.

Demand for nearline HDDs for data centers also recovered sharply.
