History 2004: Adaptec Gets Virtualization from Elipsan

Adaptec has agreed to acquire Bristol, UK-based Elipsan for $20 to $25 million.

The latter company, with some 20 or so employees, was spun off from Eurologic just before that firm was also acquired by Adaptec for $30 million.

Elipsan has developed virtualization software recently incorporated in Adaptec’s new iSCSl-to-SATA RAID arrays.
