History 2003: Al Shugart Keeps on Ticking
Named director on board of start-up Blackball

He has just been named a director on the board of start-up Blackball, a developer of storage software providing descriptive metadata indexing for rich media files.
The new company was founded by former Seagate Software VP Bob Brown.
The fledgling firm’s advisory board includes Tony Bautista, CEO of Storactive, Dave Galiotto, VP strategic planning at Veritas, and Don Flanagan, former VP WW sales at Seagate and now chairman of Storactive.
