History 2003: Watch with USB 128MB Flash Memory Integrated

£70

A USB flash watch? Someone was bound to come up with the idea.

Warch Usb

UK-based Memix Direct began shipping its £70 USB Memory Watch, which looks like an ordinary timepiece, yet which also contains a 128MB flash memory with an integrated USB connector, which flips out of the strap and can be plugged into a PC. Ideal for those who need to keep their latest PowerPoint presentation handy, and who have had the unhappy experience of losing several flash keys already [As we have. -Ed.].

The watch is most likely produced by Hong Kong-based Xenix, which reports an output of 10,000 devices per month.

The same company is probably also the supplier to Laks, an Austrian watchmaker that offers a similar USB watch with a 256MB version at €149.
